How do I adjust my sandals to fit?Updated a month ago

Aim for snug but comfortable. The straps should hold the sandal in place without digging in or restricting your foot. There’s a sweet spot for strap tension and position, and it can take a little trial and error to find yours. Once you do, you’ll rarely need to adjust again.

Adjusting your sandals, by style

Each of our sandal designs adjusts a little differently. Pick your style below for a short video walkthrough:

Common fit fixes

  • Heel slipping or sandal flopping: snug the heel strap a little. This is usually the first adjustment to make.
  • Strap rubbing or pressure on the top of your foot: loosen slightly, or shift the strap position so it sits flat across your foot rather than at an angle.
  • Toes hanging off the front or heel off the back: that’s a sizing issue rather than an adjustment issue. Check our Sizing & Fitting page, and remember exchanges are free on US orders.
  • Strap feels different after a few wears: normal. Straps settle in slightly, so re-check the tension after your first few outings.

Give it a few days

If your sandals feel a little unfamiliar at first, that’s expected. Wear them around the house for short periods, fine-tune the straps as you go, and you’ll dial in the fit quickly.
