Are Xero Shoes vegan?
Most Xero Shoes are vegan-friendly. Whenever possible, we design our products using synthetic and textile materials with no animal-derived components. A small number of styles use leather or suede to meet certain durability, structure, or workplace needs, those are listed below so you can shop with confidence.
Which styles are NOT vegan?
The following styles contain leather, suede, or other animal-derived materials. If a style isn't on this list, it's made with vegan-friendly materials.

Note: Some of these styles are only available in limited sizes or in our Clearance section while remaining inventory sells through.
A few things to know
"Animal Print" styles are vegan. Our leopard and other animal-print colorways are printed synthetic fabric — no animal materials.
Ridgeway Mesh Low is different from the Ridgeway boot. The Ridgeway Mesh Low is made with synthetic mesh and is vegan-friendly. The Ridgeway hiking boot has suede accents and is not.
The Prio will have some colorways that have suede, these colorways will have marked it the name title.
Linings and insulation. Our Pagosa Cozy uses synthetic wool and faux shearling, and our Alpine boots use synthetic insulation. The sherpa lining in the Ridgeway Chelsea Lined is paired with a leather upper, so that style is not vegan regardless of the lining.
Slip-resistant footwear. The Prio All-Day SR is currently our only slip-resistant style, and it has a leather upper. We don't currently offer a vegan-friendly slip-resistant shoe.
